St.Peter’s College senior, Nicole Palmer expresses her feelings about people who are transgendered. This past summer she did an internship in Vermont, a state with a large LGBTQ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgendered and Questioning) population.
KEEP GAY MARRIAGES OUT!
On Tuesday, Nov. 3 2009, Maine voted whether Gay Marriage should be legalized. Many people hoped that Maine would go against the grain and be one of the few states to legalize gay marriage. However, Maine REJECTED legalizing gay marriage. The vote was 53-47 and many gay activists went home teary eyed feeling defeated.
